You are awesome

This post didn't turn out quite the way I imagined, and I ended up not really liking it that much, but i sort of enjoyed the bit after the double line change quite a bit down the page, and also, the links I included might mildly pique your curiosity.

Once again, I have a million things on my mind and want to express them all at once, but I will attempt to sensor myself sufficiently so that something digestible will emerge eventually.

At so many nooks and crannies of the internet—and in discovered moments of real life—I find gems, marvels, wonders, art, imagination and epiphanies deciphered and dissected or encrypted and convoluted, easily accessible or well hidden, that I wish were my own. Ofttimes, I wish that I was the one to first utter a marvelous phrase I end up quoting or the one to write that melody that sticks to your mind in a good way. More than once, I've found myself wanting to reiterate an idea as my own just because I find it so brilliant. All the time, people do wonderful things, and I love to discover just how amazing and fascinating these things are.

Some times, these things come from people who have made something amazing before, but -way- more often than not, it is someones' 15 minutes of fame; or as it may be on the internet, their 5 minutes of infamy. It is this amazing feat, idea or creation which could have taken anything from hours upon hours of practice, work and skill to a cool idea and enough knowledge to make something out of it. It can be dead serious or extremely silly, a short flash or a pending trend.

A moment of inspiration that awes or amazes, and probably the only exposure you will ever have to something this person has made. Everyone who tries will probably make something incredible, and even if you haven't made a grand breakthrough yet, you still have the chance to make something that flabbergasts, stupefies or perplexes someone. You can make something that wows the horde or the eccentric with the crisp humor.

Some times, the creativity or skill of others may feel daunting in the prospect of great ambition, but stick with it. The guy at the top of your class may be better than you at literary discourse or complex functions, but in a stand-up competition or a harp contest you may as well be the one decimating his hopes of even competing against you.

No one is good at everything, but everyone is good at something.

Develop your strengths and strengthen your weaknesses. Assume the best intentions and smile to the apparently cruel world, because if you really want to, you can become the one of the best at something.

Ok, damned that was messy. If you even cared to read this far through my prolix tendencies, here are some things I'm good at: (Make sure that you both know and remember to tell yourself that you are good at something too)

I am reasonably good at sports (particularly squash). I excel at understanding numbers, logical systems and patterns. I am, due to my excessive expenditure of time in the area, rather better than the average gamer at video games (though I am absolute rubbish at strategy games in spite of a love for the genre). I have an ability to find humor, amusement and things that make me smile in most any situation, and I am insanely good at withstanding any attack intended to annoy or anger to the perturbance, vexation and discontent of five-year-olds everywhere I go.

Remember: if you just look, you'll see that you are smart, awesome, incredible, funny and cool, and I would most likely want to be your friend (unless I already am – in which case I probably think you are awesome and should tell you more often. Tell me off if I don't tell you the next time I see you).
